My Therapy Practice and Specialties

Types of Therapy that I can incorporate into treating my clients at my practice:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (specific skills which include self-soothe and distress
    tolerance exercises)
  • Mindfulness Based Approaches
  • Solution Focused Therapy

I specialize in treating mental disorders, which include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. While I utilize various different schools of therapy in my treatment, I try to always incorporate mindfulness meditation exercises into my treatment. I have found as a practicing counselor, teaching clients how to remain in the “here and now” can be beneficial in the treatment and management of major depression and various types of anxiety.

Mindfulness Quote

I will work with you to achieve the strength and courage that you need to move
forward with your life. I know it can be difficult to ask for help, but once that is done,
with the right therapist who appreciates and respects you as an individual, positive
attainment of your goals can and will be accomplished. I approach my work as a therapist
with empathy, acceptance, compassion, and mutual respect.

In order to assist you with your struggles, we will mutually agree on a set of realistic
goals. I understand that therapy needs to be tailored to fit the needs of the
individual person.  Understanding this, I will work with you to achieve these goals in
a timely manner.
